Bio

I'm a novelist/journalist/wife/mom/daughter/sister/friend/slacker/[insert your favorite noun here]--not necessarily (okay, DEFINITELY not) in that order. Regarding the whole writer thing: Up until now, I’ve mostly worked on nonfiction projects...but my first YA novel—FRENEMIES—comes out May 13! You can probably guess what it’s about based solely on the title (how great is that?), but I’ll just add that it chronicles the lives of two fashion-obsessed BFFs who reunite after being apart for almost a whole summer, only to realize—Ohmygod, what happened to you? I feel like I don’t even know you anymore. (This was kind of my life practically every year growing up, when I repeatedly left my SoCal friends and spent 2-3 months at my family’s “summer home” on Cape Cod—oh pity poor me, right?!) Personalities clash, tensions mount, and barb-slinging catfights and hilarity (punctuated by poignancy) ensue. At least, I hope you think so. You can let me know sometime after May 13...K?
